Welcome to the Intelligent X-ray Imaging Lab (IXI). The IXI lab focuses on advanced X-ray imaging algorithm development and system innovation, with applications in interventional radiology, diagnostic radiology, and radiation oncology. Our research combines cutting-edge technologies from applied mathematics, medical physics, and computer science. We collaborate closely with experts in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and X-ray detector design to drive imaging system innovation. Below are the main research interests at the IXI lab.
- Advanced image reconstruction algorithms
- Advanced physics modeling and correction
- X-ray imaging system simulation
- Imaging artifacts mitigation
- Imaging chain design
- Motion estimation and correction
- Photon-counting X-ray imaging
- Deep learning-based image formation algorithms
We are actively recruiting Postdoc Fellows/PhD Students/MS Students who are interested in medical imaging algorithm development and system innovation. If you are interested, please send your CV and a cover letter to zyu135@ucsc.edu with heading [Application – Position – Name ].
